When Liisa asked us for some "pretty and sinister" prizes for the night, we were happy to contribute. Yeah, we're mostly known for glittery, pop culture stuff, but we've got a dark side too. That's the "basement" part of Barbie's Basement Jewelley, after all.
We introduced our Victorian Oddities collection in spring - very out-of-season, but when we like an idea, sometimes we just run with it - and we included pieces featuring sideshow stars Jojo the Dog-faced Boy and Annie Jones, a fabulous bearded lady.
Oh, and there's a Ouija serving tray up for grabs too. "Great for serving spirits!" we like to say.
We can't wait to see the amazing illustrations by artist Gary Pullin - what we've seen so far is wickedly good. It's sure to be a dark but fun affair....
Now I must go pull out my circa 1985 crimper and play the The Cure as I smudge on the eyeliner and smell the hairspray sizzle.
